Spalding used to make car wheels. They were dope.
I would love a set of these for the Rabbit
usually dislike 5 spoke designs on a 4 bolt wheel but these are amazing.

Yup, those are dope. Hard to tell, but are the black parts voids? If not, some of those designs seem sorta sketchy

I think the “weave” part in the center of the five spoke one is just painted black.

Man, I miss old aftermarket wheels. They used to be interesting. And still hide drum brakes...

the 80s was a pretty wild time fro aftermarket wheels.

Right, that for sure. Still a little sketch if the “X” parts are voids.

Here’s my favorite one. That’s niiiiice. Also this page (
https://kyushashoes.com/product/spalding-message-v/
) shows what is voided on the 5 spoke! Not nearly as sketchy as I thought.

These look awesome, but I suspect they would fail quite easily - those nice sharp angles would be excellent spots for cracks to happen.

Just hypothetically speaking... where’s a good place to shop for said interesting wheels ?... asking for no reason whatsoever... Not like I have an ‘ 84 Dodge Rampage with 4x100 14x6 wheels or anything.... And they’re definitely not crappy steelies with hubcaps... definitely not that at all.
